Black Women in Activism Mothers of the Movement Film Screening: Winnie // Boston

Black Women in Activism Mothers of The Movement: Film Screening is a series of documentaries and films that I would like to hold over course of the spring/summer . Celebrating Black Women and recognizing their contributions around the world and throughout history. Black Women have always been at the forefront of the movement and have fought and died for the liberation of our people, its time we paid homage to the Mothers of the Movement. Our first film to kick off The Black Women in Activism Film Festival will be WINNIE. A documentary celebrating the life and activism of MaMa Winnie Madikizela-Mandela. The screening will consist of viewing the featured documentary paired with an engaging post show discussions.

Free Space Festival // Roxbury

Peace and love everyone! We are excited to announce there will be another free space event coming soon! We are bringing the Afropunk/Coachella vibes to Boston! For those who have been to my free space event in the past know this is a safe open mic space for people/artists to open up network, be yourself, be free! This event will still have an open mic sign up as well as some featured artists (to be announced). We will also have vendors from fashion, art to food. And some dancing! A flyer with the announcement of the artists that will be performing as well as the vendors, etc. will be out soon Also there will be a link to purchase tickets coming out as well. If you have any questions or know anyone that will be interested in performing or vending at this event you can contact the organizers of this event who is myself, Capella or Saturn. We are so excited for this event hope to see you all there.
