We have all watched in horror the tragedy that took place in The Bronx, New York when Lesandro "Junior" Guzman-Feliz was robbed of his life at the tender age of 15 years old. What you may not know is that these occurrences happen quite often in Communities of Color right here in the City of Boston. As of December 31, 2017 Teen Homicides had doubled. Join the Young People of the City of Boston in Communities of Color as we demand change! We will gather at Franklin Park and stand for Junior (Bronx), Michael Ross, Chris Joyce, Taquise Nordeus and the countless others murdered of the streets of Boston! We will give the Mayor 48 hours to respond! Hear from Victims, Families and Young people. We have to stop the cycle of Violence in Boston. The Time is Now!

Boston's annual celebration of Cape Verdean Culture and Music recognizes the anniversary of Cabo Verde's independence with a festival on July 4 and a flag raising on July 5.
ICA Watershed Opening Day | Seaport
On July 4, the ICA opens the ICA Watershed, a new, seasonal space in East Boston. Housed in a former copper pipe and sheet metal factory in the Boston Harbor Shipyard and Marina, the 15,000-square-foot, formally condemned space will be a place to gather and experience immersive artwork. The Watershed is always free and ferry service is included with ICA admission. The Watershed opens with Diana Thater. A pioneering voice in video installation art since the early 1990s, Thater is internationally renowned for immersive, atmospheric spatial transformations. Her installation for the ICA will illuminate the Watershed with colored light and moving-image projections while reflecting on the fragility of the natural world. Free admission to the Watershed is made possible by the generosity of Alan and Vivien Hassenfeld and the Hassenfeld Family Foundation.

Join us on The Greenway for an evening of live-streamed entertainment straight from the Hatch Shell! The Greenway Simulcast of the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular takes place on July 4th, with a massive screen covering all the live action in HD. The concert broadcast begins at 8:00pm and concludes with live-streamed fireworks from 10:30pm to 11:00pm (subject to change).
