The 2018 International Sand Sculpting Festival will take place from July 20th -22nd. Come on down to America’s first public beach and enjoy the magnificent sand sculpting competition, delicious Food Trucks and Vendors, and amusements and fun for the whole family! Plus, don’t miss the spectacular fireworks display on Saturday night. This is an event that you won’t want to miss!

ICA Culture Club 3 | Seaport

Picking up where last summer left off, this ongoing series pairs DJ sets and live performances with otherworldly visual installations by Boston-area artists for energetic and exploratory nights on the harbor. Artist Furen Dai presents a large-scale installation using mylar balloons and handmade lanterns to address the immigrant experience in Boston and modern-day censorship in China. Derek Hoffend explores sound as a medium intersecting with physical forms, bodies, light, and spaces to create an immersive and participatory experience. Acclaimed local illustrator Julia Emiliani adds playful animations. Featuring a live performance by Roxbury-based Vintage Lee, a “rising rap force to be reckoned with.” (FACT magazine)

Resist(D)ance: Under Construction | Cambridge

RESIST(D)ANCE: UNDER CONSTRUCTION is calling all creative leaders, change makers, and body shakers to reclaim space and re-imagine a future where young people have an active role in shaping their cities. A three-part immersive art experience; including an open creative forum for local artists and community leaders to engage in conversation and art making, a live performance featuring poetry, dance and live music, finishing the night with a dance party, highlighting the importance of social dance in black communities. Artists of all mediums are encouraged to come to the open forum with their full creativity ready to write, paint and move — there will be plenty of opportunity to create and share original art and collaborate with other amazing artists and influencers.

Join us at The KITCHEN at the Boston Public Market as we host Blonde Beauchamp, a Haitian-American chef and Boston native, who delights in sharing the tasty recipes of her ancestrial home. Blonde will demonstrate how to prepare legume beregene melange - a delicious stewed vegetable dish made with eggplant, cabbage, spinach, string beans, and carrots, featuring produce from Stillman's Farm. Blonde will demonstrate the steps of making the dish and will provide small samples. This event is great for both vegans and meat lovers, as the dishes can be used in both diets. This event is FREE and everyone is welcome.
