The City Talks: Power | Fenway
How can we redirect systems of power within Boston to support people of color? Join Boston-area thinkers, institutions, entrepreneurs, activists, city officials, and artists at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston for a discussion inspired by themes found in the exhibition "Casanova's Europe: Art, Pleasure, and Power in the 18th Century," on view July 8–October 8, 2018. Our moderator for the evening will be educator and activist Alicia Greene. Panelists include Bashezo, Transdisciplinary Performance and Installation creative, QTBIPOC (Queer Trans Black Indigenous People of Color) Arts and Community space/place maker, founder of Project Resuscitation, co-founder of UnBound Bodies Collective and assistant professor at MassArt, Hansy Better Barraza , AIA, LEED AP, co-founder of Studio Luz Architects and Professor of Architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design and Liz Miranda, executive director, Hawthorne Youth and Community Center.

Specifically in Roxbury there is a Bio-lab testing Anthrax & Ebola, A Methadone Clinic, the city Morgue, a homeless shelter and a prison all on the same block. Poverty is man made which means it can be corrected. Join us as we demand accountability, transparency and action.
